What is Yumeiho Therapy?

Yumeiho Therapy is a holistic manual therapy developed in Japan, focusing on restoring postural balance, enhancing mobility, and promoting natural healing through a combination of therapeutic techniques. This method integrates elements of massage, joint alignment, and passive stretching to address imbalances in the pelvis and spinal structure—considered the foundation of bodily harmony in traditional Japanese therapy.

The core philosophy behind Yumeiho is that physical health and internal energy are closely linked to the alignment of the musculoskeletal system. By correcting pelvic displacement and improving joint flexibility, Yumeiho helps stimulate blood circulation, support internal organ function, and release accumulated tension. It is suitable for individuals of all ages and can be particularly effective in alleviating back pain, fatigue, headaches, and stress-related disorders.

Practiced by certified therapists worldwide, Yumeiho Therapy continues to grow in popularity as a non-invasive, preventive, and restorative approach to health. Whether you seek relief from chronic discomfort or aim to enhance your overall well-being, Yumeiho offers a natural, respectful path toward physical balance and mental calm.

History of Yumeiho

Yumeiho® Therapy is a unique hands-on healing method that comes from the rich traditions of Chinese and Japanese medicine. It is inspired by ancient techniques like Zheng Fa Ti, which were once used in places like the famous Shaolin Temple. In 1948, these techniques were brought to Japan by Master Shuichi Ohno, helping to keep this traditional knowledge alive.

Dr. Masayuki Saionji, a student of Master Ohno, spent more than 20 years learning and refining these healing practices. Over time, he developed Yumeiho Therapy—a system that helps the body restore its natural balance, alignment, and ability to heal itself. Its full name is Kotsuban Yumeiho Taiso, which reflects its focus on the pelvis (kotsuban) and whole-body harmony.

Today, Yumeiho is practiced in over 30 countries around the world. It is used in clinics, wellness centers, and even research institutions, supported by the International Institute of Practical Preventive Medicine in Tokyo. By gently aligning the body and reducing tension, Yumeiho helps people feel better, move better, and live in greater balance—blending ancient wisdom with modern care.
